The 2016 Asia-Pacific Sports Analytics Conference was a great success!
750+ attendees and 70 speakers took park in the event - a remarkable increase on last year's 200-person inaugural event.
The Conference kicked off with introductions from the Victorian Minister for Sport, John Eren, and Australian Grand Prix Board Member, Laura Anderson, who have been supporters of the conference from the very beginning. The day was filled with high quality presentations from some of the biggest names in sports and analytics, including Catapult, AFL, Facebook and Juventus. The up-and- comers were not forgotten either, with ‘The Hall’ jam-packed to see the Startup and Innovation Session which featured a showcase of 12 young companies doing great things in the sports analytics space. Suffice to say, we are very much looking forward to an even bigger and better event in 2017.
The organisers would like to thank all speakers and attendees who helped make the conference a great success.
