Victoria University (VU) is ranked number 12 globally for sport science education and offers more than 40 sports-related courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational educational (TAFE) levels.
These courses encompass a diverse range of disciplines including Exercise Science, Clinical Science and Rehabilitation, Physical Education, Outdoor Leadership and Education, Sport Management, and Sport Business and Integrity.
VU has affiliations with more than 350 local and international professional sporting bodies and employers with students benefiting from programs dedicated to creating links into the sport industry, offering placement and internship opportunities and informing curriculum development to create future ready graduates. These opportunities also provide students with the ability to utilise real world experiences and translate them into workplace solutions.
The Institute for Health and Sport (IHES) is one of two flagship research institutes at VU, converting practical research solutions to impact real-world problems at local, national and international levels. Regarded amongst the best in the world, IHES’ $68 million high-technology facility is used by researchers, students, professional sports teams and partner organisations.
VU is consistently ranked above world standard for research in Human Movement and Sports Science.
