The final session in version 1.0 of the Forward Thinking Series is bound to be an informative, inspiring and dynamic one. The unique program for the forum incorporates the use of Open Space Technologies to ensure that the topics covered are the ones that matter most to you. In addition to a special guest speaker, Scaling Innovation and Demonstrating Impact will focus on shaping the future of community sport and feature up to 12 participant-led sessions covering all sorts of topics (as decided by you) such as:
• Getting buy in from the board/management
• How to attract new members with new offerings while keeping existing members engaged
• Where to start when taking a new direction
• How to foster the development of a culture of innovation
• Using the business model canvas to map the business model out your new program, service or product
• Effective use of social media to build engage our community and grow membership
There will be three rounds of participant led sessions, with three or four 45 minute sessions being run in each time slot – a total of 9-12 sessions. Early in the day we’ll open up a ‘market’ for participants to propose a topic and the type of session they would like to lead – it might be a presentation, conversation, workshop or planning discussion. The Open Space format enables the rapid exchange of valuable information, ideas and insights, provides a space for conversations that matter and fosters the development of collaborative relationships and an innovative community of practice. It is built on the premise that: "The sum of the expertise of the people in the audience is greater than the expertise of the people on stage." If you're interested in running a session on the day start thinking about what you'd most like to share, explore or initiate. We'll send out a reminder the week before the forum with some additional ideas and inspiration.

As with all sessions so far, Vicsport’s Forward Thinking Series is offered free of charge but space is strictly limited. Sessions are likely to be oversubscribed and participants are encouraged to register ASAP.
