Lace Up Against Social Violence in June

June 12 - 15

In June this year, anti-violence organisation, Step Back Think, will be running their Lace Up Against Social Violence campaign, which aims to raise awareness around social violence and the consequences that a violent decision made in a split second can have on the wider community.

Rallying the support of AFL, NRL, Super Rugby and local sporting clubs from around Victoria, SBT hopes to get everyone who steps on to a sporting field on the second weekend of June to support the campaign by wearing orange laces. The laces will be mailed out free of charge to all registered clubs, along with an education pack outlining how to run a team session about positive actions young people can take to avoid violent situations.

To register your club and get your players, coaches and umpires involved, visit the Step Back,Think website
