Safety personnel – a crucial element to every sporting club

Does your sports club have access to someone who can deal with the initial care of an injured player or provide the best chance of a quick and complete recovery?

Every sporting club has a responsibility to provide a safe environment for their members and participants. Injury prevention and injury management are key components of providing a safe sporting environment. Sadly many sporting clubs ignore the need to have appropriately qualified Sports First Aiders and Sports Trainers as part of their structure and continue to run the risk of being ill equipped to deal with situations requiring skilled action from these trained personnel. Trained personnel are crucial to all sporting and recreation events, including training and practice sessions.

The benefits of having access to qualified safety personnel at your club are:

  • Better response to emergency situations.
  • Less likelihood of injuries occurring and recurring.
  • Less severe injuries.
  • Improved risk management.
  • Increased attraction for sporting club members.

The overall benefit is that you will maintain the participation and performance levels of those involved in your club.
