Dylan Alcott OAM Aces Prestigious Newcombe Medal


Victorian Athlete Dylan Alcott OAM is ecstatic on winning the prestigious Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis's highest honour.

Dylan heralds from Brighton in Victoria where he dominated Wheelchair Basketball and Tennis. Alcott competed in the 2008 Paralympics in Basketball and in 2016 Rio Paralympics in Wheelchair Tennis. Dylan won GOLD in RIO, GQ Sportsman of the Year 2016, 2015 Victorian Sportsperson of the Year, and now Australian Tennis's most prestigious medal, The Newcombe Medal 2016.

The awards ceremony draws in more than 550 attendees from sport, recreation and health industries, and boasts recent award winners including such names as Ange Postecoglou, Michelle Payne, Andrew Bogut, Dylan Alcott OAM and Nicole Livingstone OAM. This event is attended by key Victorian sport decision makers along with the Minister for Sport and the Governor of Victoria.
