ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOUR COACHES AND OFFICIALS FIT AND READY FOR ACTION?


If you are you need to come to Vicsport’s next Coaching and Officiating Forum. Starring former AFL Umpire and now Umpires Head Coach, Hayden Kennedy, you will get an opportunity to see how the AFL get their people physically and mentally ready for the tough job of umpiring. More importantly though you will have the opportunity to share your ideas, skills and knowledge with people from across sports large and small.

Whether you are a coaching coordinator or look after officials of all forms, flag wavers, whistle blowers or those that sit in the scoring room, how your sport looks after their well being and how you train them is hugely important to the success of your sport. Vicsport will provide a forum for you to meet men and women charged with similar responsibilities and to discuss how they manage their people, and how they keep them coming back for another season.

Hayden Kennedy, former AFL Umpire and now Senior Coach - AFL Umpires, will provide you with his thoughts on training umpires and officials so that your competitions, using the development and execution of the AFL Official/umpire education programs and how they work with their umpires to improve their performance.

The key issues of recruiting, retaining and rewarding of umpires will also be discussed and will provide an opportunity for your sport to have input to discuss the officiating issues you have successfully overcome or are struggling to manage.
